How the Angels Help Us to Take Our Power Back

It is with so much delight and joyful anticipation that we welcome in the beautiful month of July. A truly powerful time within the heart of summer, a period of enchantment that holds within it the frequencies for magic and miracles to manifest!! Being within the energies of 7, this is a time where numerologically and celestially we are being called and supported to trust in the universe and the Divine plan for our lives, but also to deepen our spiritual practice in which ever way we feel is in alignment, allowing us to connect with our own inner wisdom and intuition.

The beautiful Angel that resides over the month of July is Archangel Verchiel (pronounced VER-SHAL), Angel of the Summer Sun. Archangel Verchiel connects strongly to the energy of the sun and all of the power it bestows; he encourages us to take a step back and evaluate our lives, our goals and our dreams. Are things panning out in resonance with our intention? If not, why not? This isn’t a judgment on oneself or anyone else as we are solely responsible for our own lives and realities, but an invitation to connect with and allow in the clarity as to where we are holding ourselves back in some way. Archangel Verchiel comes to encourage us to take our power back, to remind us that we are not our stories, we are not what’s happened to us, we are whatever we BELIEVE we can become.

As the Angel of optimism, Archangel Verchiel is incredible to call upon to illuminate the areas of your life where you are holding onto fear, self-doubt or worry. He asks us to consider the analogy of ‘the glass half full or half empty’ – the fact is both are right, but what are you choosing to align with? Because what ever you choose will be your experience and this is the importance of having self-awareness, so we can see where we are vibrationally.

Now’s the time to come back into your heart and be radically honest with yourself, what are you still holding onto, harbouring or allowing that is hindering you from moving forward? Archangel Verchiel reminds us that self-awareness is huge within this process as without it, we are not able to acknowledge what needs to come to light so that we can act accordingly for our highest and best. If you struggle to identify or connect with what that is for you then look at the areas / aspects of your life that you have been holding fear and or resistance around, everything we want is on the other side of what were avoiding, let this be your guide.

Taking our power back doesn’t come in the form of manipulation, it comes from opening your heart and living a LOVE centred life. In doing so we naturally begin to shed the layers of self-doubt, lack of self-love and the feelings of unworthiness.

We come home to who we are in Divine truth, to our authenticity, not through ego but through the heart and through love. From this point we lose the judgment that we’ve held towards ourselves, and others, and we lose the resistance we’ve had to connect with the aspects of ourselves that have kept us in fear. We gain the clarity to see things for what they truly are, and from that empowered place we are able to make peace with it. Embodying the light and shade, owning all of it unapologetically, safe and comfortable within our own energy and from here we lead with love.

We can only meet people as deeply as we’ve met ourselves, so please know most of what you’ve experienced in the ‘negative’ sense, in truth, has been preparation, not punishment. Because if you’re reading this you ARE a healer and a leader – no coincidences!! We are being called to become the alchemist of our own lives, by turning our pain into our power, as the best way we can truly help others is indeed, by helping ourselves. We can’t empower anyone from a disempowered place, period.

Archangel Verchiel reminds us that our real work is remembering that in each moment we are being offered the opportunity to make an empowered choice from love, to move in an aligned direction and to take inspired action towards anything that supports our growth and expansion – to be the embodiment of Divine truth, love and sovereignty. After all, we are told when flying that in the event of an emergency to put your own oxygen mask on first before anyone else’s, as if you can’t breathe, you’re certainly no help to anyone.

When we truly understand this, we naturally (and indirectly) give others permission to do the same. Authenticity happens to be the highest frequency to leave the body, so we can’t fake this, but we can awaken that Divine remembering within others.

Archangel Verchiel encourages us to walk our talk and reminds us of the proverb by Lao Tzu - ‘give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime’ Ultimately, stepping into your power is a journey not a destination, we can’t do it for anyone else, we can only do it for ourselves, but once we’ve done it we can show them the way, as in every moment we are either in a space of empowering or enabling – what are you choosing?

Archangel Verchiel says, take the first step towards stepping into your power today, whether it’s setting a boundary, pursuing a passion or simply practicing self-care without guilt. Know that you have the love and support of the whole Angelic Kingdom behind you.

Have faith in yourself and as Glinda the good witch said in The Wizard of Oz ‘you’ve always had the power my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself’.
